My rabbit eats lavender will this harm them?

Strange though it may seem to us today, many years ago (approx. time of Shakespeare) people ate lavender. If humans ate it without harm, animals should be OK.

Just as a matter of interest, let me add that you can buy lavender tea, lavender flavoured cake and ice cream too (for humans that is!) - it's supposed to have calming properties - tastes nice too.
