New Rabbit?

OK, i have taken foster care of my cousins rabbit. What should i know? Along with regular rabbit food we got it a mineral lick, and some rabbit treats, and gave it a box in the cage to hide in. Any suggestions or comments will be useful. Thanks

remember not to hold it or be around it too much until it is comfortable with you. (this might prevent future nibblings!!) here this a great site that can tell you more:

Sounds like you got it all under control. Don't forget the fresh fruit and veggies...
Make sure to give him (her?) timothy hay or orchard grass, as much as he (she?) will eat. The hay is essential to maintaining a rabbit's digestive tract health.
Since its new to your home and most likely the cage, make sure that you leave it alone for the first 24-48 hours. This way you can make sure that you dont stress it out more than it needs to be. You should invest in a book about rabbits so that if there are any strange things going on with it, you will know if it is sick etc. Also, look into putting aside a vet fund, taking your pet to the vet can be very expensive.
Make sure you give it chew toys, you need to get these to make sure your rabbits teeth dont get too long. Long teeth can lead to it not eating, and also death, and to get the teeth ground down by a vet can be a very costly thing (I had it done for my rabbit and it cost $1000!).
Also, in the cage try to avoid using PINE or CEDAR bedding. These beddings because of the dust have been known to lead to respitory problems, the best to use are ASPEN or something like CAREFRESH (which is a cotten based odor absorbing bedding.)
Lastly, look into getting your rabbit a litter box and some litter (yesterdays news works well). If litter trained properly (you may have to do this yourself but it is very easy!) your rabbit will use the bathroom in the litter box alone, and you can then also place one outside of the cage so when you have your rabbit running free in the room - when it has to use the washroom it will then run to its litter box!
Hope this helps some!
I will have to come check it all out
(Sounds cute). Will bring some carrots from the garden. You also forgot to tell us what its name is .Sounds like a lot of good info. up above just don't forget a bottle of water too...
The rabbit needs fresh fruits and veggies, like broccoli, cucumber, carrots, tomato, watermelon, blueberries, etc. Make sure any fruits and veggies you give it are safe for rabbits. Also, it needs timothy hay, you can get it at petsmart or petco. Make sure you give it time out of the cage to run around and get some exercise. Toys are good to have in the cage also. My rabbit likes toilet paper and paper towel tubes, cardboard, empty ribbon spolls, phone books, and paper lunch sacks with timothy hay inside.
Angora rabbits are very beautiful. I once saw one in a pet shop and the owner said that you need to groom it everyday as they can get knots easily.
