My Yorkie Poo Pup fights wit other dogs?

I try to introduce him to new new dogs, and it growls at them and then barks and tries to nip them. He is only 5 weeks old and he has already developed that habit, what can i do to correct this behavior?
Answers:
It could be that he is afraid, or it could be that he is trying to play with the other dog like he did with his litter mates. If you have ever watched a litter of puppies then you would see this behavior. It's normal, just keep exposing him to other dogs and people, but make sure you don't take him where lots of dogs are until he has had all his shots.
Most small dogs have the attitude of a Doberman. It's still a puppy, but you can try behavioral training
When you introduce him do you also show him the "rules"? You know, what's acceptable and what's not?
Watch the dog whisperer on NGTV.
Puppy preschool sounds like a nice idea here. Basic obedience and manners training.
well thats sort of what my dog does. Now it got over it.
Well if it comes near any dog and growls.Just say "no!"And if it still dont listen to you hit it soft on its behind .Or if that doesn't work is because it soo little. And teach it when its a little bit bigger.Oh and look serious when you say it to your puppy.before its going to think your trying to play with it .""""and will jump up and bit you nose"""".Thats what mine does.=]when puppy bark and fight with each other you will never know if there playing or not but ,most of the time they are
He is a terrier remember and will always be a dominant fellow. But I bet he is so cute and you have him on the couch and in the bed and carry him everywhere right!? Well if you are, that's a big no no! He will think he is just as superior as you, so when he sees another dog he will try do establish the top dog position. Its not to late for him to learn how to behave with other dogs though. Contact a vet, pet shop or dog trainer and they will point you into the right direction.
stop carrying it let it walk on the floor ok.
have a star!
lol.. no seriously dont worry dogs all have different tempraments. hes obviously scared of other dogs. why not slowly introduce him to other dogs whilst he is out walking to shiow him they arent going to hurt him..
take him to puppy classes he will mix with other puppies and with other people don't think this is any thing to worry about at such a young age as he can be brought out of it very easy plus you will learn how to train him to make him a very happy little dog good luck
We call one of our yorkies a York Weiller..because in his little head he thinks he's a Rottweiller! He is 16 years old, and has always been like this...My other older one is much more placid and quiet...so they are all different.
Get The Dog Whisperer by Paul Owens.brilliant book, very interesting. Also, puppy classes will socialise him and teach him manners. It takes time but he will be fine...
