YES!
Nope, rabbits aren't in the rodent family. make sure you do a lot of research before getting a rabbit as a pet =]
no rabbits are not rodents . they are actually very sweet pets . i`ve had several of them . the best ones to get are a flop eared or a dwarf bunny . u can litter box train them just like a cat so when there out they`ll use that instead of the floor . they are also very cuddly animals they love attention . i hope you decide to get one you`ll love it .
Here is a really long article regarding the rabbit-rodent controversy.
No, rabbits are members of the familly Leporidae. Rodents are members of the order Rodentia.
I had rabbits as outdoor pets in a covered, wire bottom cage. Rabbits can be litter box trained as house rabbits, too, but they will gnaw on furniture and can electrocute themselves if they chew live wires. One has to learn how to carry and handle them or one can be badly scratched by their claw nails. They suffer in the heat and can freeze in the winter. A frozen liter soda bottle helps them if they're outside in the heat.
rabbits are good pets!! but its a lot of work.. you need to empty out and clean their cages everyday!! you need to keep it out everyday until the gets dark and then bring him in. he needs sunlight to keep him healthy but it shouldnt be too sunny or it'll hurt his eyes.. but i think you should do some researching and go to the library and borrow books...i hope i helped thank you for your time
rabbits are like deer, they eat greens and veggies and also similar to cats whereas they shed and need to be brushed and clean themselves, will go in a litter box etc:
it's lots of care with them, keeping a cage clean and making sure they have plenty of water and good food, they need their teeth filed and their nails clipped
No. They are lagomorphs.
If you're thinking about getting a rabbit then read the book "Storey's Guide to Raising Rabbits" by Bob Bennett BEFORE you get a rabbit. The pet rabbit owner will learn everything they need to know from that book.
A great indoor living space for a rabbit is an x-pen with one or two litterboxes in it, food dish, water bottle, and some cheap toys like a paper grocery bag and popsicle sticks.
Have a great time with your rabbit.
